I love it when the New York Times puts data behind things I feel in my gut.  It provides a sense of validation and explanation for emotions, which for me can be difficult to pin down.

Even though she is four years younger, my sister Mara has been a key figure and mentor in my life.  She's part of my triumvirate of amazing women (mom, wife, sister) that have molded me into the man I am today.  I wish Mara still lived in New York so I could see her and her daughter all the time, but I think she is really happy in Maine and that makes me happy.
